David Dove, a partner in Troutman Pepper’s Regulatory Investigations, Strategy + Enforcement Practice, has received the Young Alumni Award from the University of Georgia Alumni Association in recognition of his outstanding leadership and service to the university, community, and legal profession.
Dove earned his JD and bachelor’s degrees from the University of Georgia, where he remains highly engaged, serving as chairman of the Alumni Board of Directors for its School of Public and International Affairs and as a board member for the Law School Alumni Council. He also serves as an adjunct professor of law.
At Troutman Pepper, Dove leads the Regulatory + Economic Investment Practice in Georgia, an interdisciplinary team that counsels clients on a range of legal and public policy matters. He helps clients advance their business objectives and resolve regulatory hurdles, particularly as they relate to environmental, health care, and tax issues as well as economic investment.
Dove has broad leadership experience at the highest levels of state government. He previously served as executive counsel to Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, interim director of the Georgia Environmental Protection Division, and as a lead attorney on Georgia’s tri-state water wars.
Troutman Pepper’s nationally recognized Regulatory Investigations, Strategy + Enforcement (RISE) Practice Group, counsels clients in a wide range of legal and public policy matters. For businesses in heavily regulated industries, the team offers guidance on compliance and reporting as well as, when necessary, litigation and administrative appeals of regulatory enforcement actions.
