Holland & Knight welcomes Emmett Weindruch as a partner in the Intellectual Property Group in Charlotte. Most recently, Mr. Weindruch was a partner at Moore & Van Allen.
Mr. Weindruch's transactional practice focuses on preparing and negotiating intellectual property (IP) technology and commercial agreements, including software as a service (SaaS) agreements, patent and trademark licenses, joint developer agreements, software reseller agreements, cloud hosting agreements and a variety of supply chain, hosted solution and general commercial agreements.
Mr. Weindruch also has substantive experience working with private equity sponsors evaluating and negotiating mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in technological fields. As part of these transactions, he leads IP due diligence efforts, including evaluating IP portfolios and technology agreements and negotiating IP and regulatory terms.
"Emmett has an extremely valuable skill set, which includes advising on intellectual property matters, but also handling due diligence on tech industry M&A deals as well," said David Donoghue, leader of Holland & Knight's Intellectual Property Group.
