Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta (PBPA) recently named McGuireWoods Atlanta partner Art Gambill a 2023 “Volunteer of the Year.” He accepted the award during the organization’s March 13, 2024, annual appreciation reception.
Art has spent a decade on the PBPA Advisory Board, advocating and fundraising for the organization. PBPA matches community-based nonprofits benefiting low-income or disadvantaged individuals, with volunteer attorneys from area law firms and corporate legal departments.
Given his position on the PBPA Advisory Board and his role as McGuireWoods’ Atlanta office pro bono leader, Art also serves as liaison between the firm and PBPA.
In addition to his advisory and coordinating roles, Art — a debt finance lawyer — handles corporate governance pro bono matters for PBPA clients, such as updating bylaws or financial policies.
