Tax Partner Mark Miller Joins Holland & Knight in Nashville

Holland & Knight welcomes Mark Miller as a partner in the Tax, Executive Compensation and Benefits Practice in Nashville. Most recently, Mr. Miller was a partner at Bradley Arant Boult Cummings.

Prior to joining Bradley Arant, Mr. Miller practiced at Waller, Lansden, Dortch & Davis, which combined with Holland & Knight in 2023.

"Mark will significantly strengthen our tax practice with his well-rounded skill set, and his extensive experience and connections in Nashville mesh perfectly with our deep healthcare bench in Tennessee and beyond," said Todd Keator, co-leader of Holland & Knight's Tax, Executive Compensation and Benefits Practice. Mr. Miller focuses his practice on U.S. tax matters, including the structuring of corporate, partnership and limited liability company transactions such as formation, joint ventures, acquisitions, dispositions and reorganizations. He has extensive experience providing counsel to healthcare companies, hospitals and physicians on tax issues, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, syndications and buybacks of equity interests, as well as compensation and equity incentive arrangements.

Mr. Miller provides tax counsel to real estate companies on various issues, including the structure of property ownership, entity formation, syndications and private placements. He is also active in the representation of tax-exempt organizations on issues relating to reporting compliance, private inurement, intermediate sanctions and unrelated business taxable income.

Mr. Miller earned a J.D. degree from Indiana University Maurer School of Law, an LL.M. degree from New York University School of Law and a B.A. degree from Murray State University.
