Three Polsinelli Attorneys Accepted into Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Development Programs

Am Law 100 firm Polsinelli is pleased to announce that three of its attorneys will be part of the 2024 Fellows and Pathfinder Programs of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD), an organization challenging the legal profession to prepare future generations of diverse talent for the highest positions of leadership.

Cat Kozlowski (they/them) has been selected for the 2024 Fellows Program, a landmark intensive year-long professional development program designed to connect high-potential attorneys with leading general counsel, managing partners and their peers for mentoring and career guidance. Over the years, the LCLD Fellows program has built a reputation for helping to launch participants into top legal positions, with a substantial number of Fellows alumni becoming leaders within their organizations.

Kozlowski is counsel in Polsinelli’s Tech Transactions & Data Privacy Practice Group. They provide strategic and practical guidance to clients on responsible use and development of artificial intelligence, handling information, and protecting their intellectual property. Cat navigates entities through their data privacy obligations under HIPAA, GDPR, and state laws and has extensive experience in greater operational and transactional matters in the digital health space. Additionally, they serve as the co-chair of the firm’s LGBTQ+ Resource Group and as a member of its Diversity Committee. Outside of the firm, they serve on the board of directors for OGALLA, the state of Oregon's LGBTQ+ Bar Association and serve as co-chair on the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association's LGBTQ Network. Kozlowski received their J.D., summa cum laude, from Chapman University, Fowler School of Law and they hold a B.S. in Mathematics emph. Computer Science, magna cum laude, from Chapman University.

Brittany S. Macon and L. Maverick Flowers have been selected for the 2024 Pathfinder Program, which provides participants with the opportunity to learn from top leaders in the legal profession as well as career development experts. Over the course of seven months, the program is designed to train high-performing attorneys who are early in their careers on foundational leadership and relationship-building skills.

Macon is an associate in Polsinelli’s Real Estate Practice, where she works with national and local real estate developers, investors and corporate clients on various commercial real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing and leasing. She delivers a broad range of services throughout the different phases of the real estate transaction life cycle including structuring, financing, acquisition, development, operation and disposition across a variety of asset classes. Macon received her J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School and holds a B.A., summa cum laude, in Political Science from the University of the South (Sewanee).

Flowers is an associate in Polsinelli’s Corporate M&A and the Nonprofit Organizations Practice Groups and focuses his practice on a variety of complex business transactions and corporate matters. He has extensive experience providing a full range of legal services to corporate and nonprofit clients, from advising clients on the tax consequences of various corporate and business transactions including corporate and partnership formations, private foundations, corporate foundations, schools and universities, joint ventures, supporting organizations, mergers, acquisitions and dispositions. Prior to joining Polsinelli, Maverick also served as a law clerk for the Honorable R. David Proctor, Federal District Court Northern District of Alabama, and has had several internships, including as a Legislative Intern in the United States Senate and Legal Fellow for the Secretary of State of Colorado. Flowers received his J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and also holds an LL.M. in Taxation from the same school. He received his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Alabama.
