Dykema, a leading national law firm, announced today that Sean Darke was selected by Michigan Lawyers Weekly as a “Go To Lawyer” for Employment Law. Now in its fifth year, the “Go To Lawyers” program recognizes leading lawyers in a particular field of law as nominated by their peers. The first category of 2024 honors those lawyers who practice employment law.

According to the publication, those selected are:

  • A lawyer who is an expert in his or her field, well-versed in the nuances of the case law, statutes, and regulations clients will encounter.
  • A lawyer who is experienced and enjoys a record of success, with many cases and/or transactions that give testimony to the quality advice he or she can provide.
  • A lawyer to whom other lawyers make referrals because of his or her expertise and accomplishments.
  • A lawyer who can think creatively and identify all options for a client.
  • A lawyer you would name when a friend from another state calls and says she has a client who needs some legal help in a given part of our state.
Sean Darke is an employment and labor litigator whose legal services go far beyond defending businesses in the courtroom. Sean helps clients navigate everyday employment issues that impact workplace productivity, morale, and resources. He provides counsel to his clients early on to avoid risk on the front end by reviewing and drafting employment contracts, instituting arbitration provisions and procedures, anticipating potential claims, and providing practical guidance to avoid liability. When disagreements become disputes, he appears in state and federal courts, dispute resolution forums, and agency tribunals to vigorously defend businesses and deliver practical solutions.

Darke earned a J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law and the University of Dublin College of Law through Duquesne University of Law. He earned his B.A. with a focus in Business Economics from State University of New York, Potsdam.
