TAMPA, Fla. (Legal Newsline) - Rapper Nardo Wick and his security team are named in a lawsuit brought by a Florida man who says he was assaulted when getting a photograph.
A lawsuit has been filed against Horace Bernard Walls III, also known as Nardo Wick, Zachary Benton, Wicked Gang Entertainment LLC and Club Skye by George Obregon Jr. The case was lodged in Hillsborough County Circuit Court.
The complaint alleges that on Nov. 26 and into Nov. 27, 2023, Club Skye hosted a commercial music event featuring a live performance by Nardo Wick. It further states that the club knew that Wick's performance could potentially promote violence requiring additional security.
What happened to Obregon ended up the subject of news articles that included video of an attack on Obregon as he asked for a photo with Wick. He ended up in critical but stable condition after.
Obregon had paid for VIP tickets for the event, which featured an earlier "physical altercation" among audience members and Wick's team. Benton is accused of attacking Obregon when he asked for a photo.
Wick said he was unaware the attack was going to happen and tried to de-escalate the situation. With Obregon in the hospital, Wick told Obregon's mother he would try to "make it up to him."
Jeffrey "Jack" Gordon and Brett Berger represent Obregon.
