America First Legal (AFL) has filed a lawsuit against the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to enforce its Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request. The request is for HHS Assistant Secretary Levine's communications regarding pediatric "transgender clinics," which AFL refers to as the genital mutilation and sterilization of America's children.
In March of 2023, HHS Assistant Secretary Levine made a statement indicating that socially and medically transitioning children to a "different sex" had support "at the highest levels of the federal government." This included President Biden. Furthermore, anyone who questioned the wisdom or safety of these experiments on children was labeled as "ideologically and politically motivated."
Following this statement, AFL sent a FOIA to HHS, specifically requesting Assistant Secretary Levine's communications related to transgender clinics in the United States, the medical and social transitioning of children, and legislation throughout the country that aimed to scale back these practices.
After almost a year of delay, AFL believes that HHS is concealing communications that would prove the Biden Administration's strong support for and encouragement of medical castration of children. AFL claims that these practices go against children's health, science, global trends, and the experiences of those who have witnessed or regretted the process.
Ian Prior, America First Legal Senior Advisor, expressed his concerns, stating, "As European nations and many states in America are recognizing the dangerous side-effects of social and medical transition of children, all in service of the radical transgender lobby, the Biden Administration is moving full steam ahead on these government-sponsored crimes against humanity. The safety of our children and the soul of our nation depends on rooting out the evil of these activities, and AFL will continue to hold the Biden Administration accountable for its actions clearly contrary to natural law and human rights."
AFL is determined to uncover any potential wrongdoing and ensure that the Biden Administration is not pushing dangerous, unethical, and harmful medical experimentation on children. The organization believes that the American people deserve to know if their leaders are leveraging the powers of the federal government to pursue these practices.
Through this lawsuit, AFL aims to shed light on the alleged concealment of communications and put an end to what they view as a crime against humanity.
