FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (Legal Newsline) - A lawsuit has followed a 2-year-old having the tip of his finger sliced off by a play workbench.
Top Bright International LLC and Top Bright Inc., toy manufacturers, are facing a lawsuit filed by Lora Lang on behalf of her two-year-old son, Lincoln Lang. The lawsuit was filed in the Circuit Court of Washington County, Arkansas.
The plaintiff alleges that a toy manufactured by the defendants, the Top Bright Kids’ Wooden Pretend Workbench Set, is inherently dangerous to toddlers.
According to the complaint, Lincoln Lang was playing with the toy at his daycare facility when he placed his finger in one of its holes. Another toddler then closed the toy, resulting in partial amputation of Lincoln's finger.
The plaintiff claims that the defendants failed to conduct proper safety studies before marketing these toys and that their negligence led to her son's injury.
The lawsuit seeks compensation for the harm caused to Lincoln Lang due to this incident. The plaintiffs are represented by Joel Isaac Farthing of Westark Law, and a photo of the injury is contained in the complaint.
