CHICAGO (Legal Newsline) - The cutlery I purchased isn't dishwasher-safe, a new lawsuit against Walgreens and others claims
Walgreen Co., Sumter Easy Home LLC, and Ningbo (USA) Home-Link Plastic Product Mfg., Ltd. are facing a class action lawsuit filed by Bridget Simpson Dec. 4 in the Northern District of Illinois.
The plaintiff alleges that the defendants have misled consumers through false advertising regarding their Complete Home Heavy Duty Cutlery products. The suit claims that the products were labeled as "dishwasher safe" and "heavy duty," leading consumers to believe they could be safely washed in any part of a dishwasher.
However, according to the complaint, these items can only be safely washed on the top rack of a dishwasher, contradicting the claim of being "dishwasher safe." Simpson is seeking damages, restitution, declaratory and injunctive relief on behalf of herself and all others similarly situated.
