Fox Rothschild is proud to have received an overall score of 95 on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index (CEI).

Overhauled for the 2023-2024 cycle to become a more robust survey for employers, the CEI serves as the nation’s foremost benchmarking report measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality.

Fox joins the ranks of 1384 major U.S. businesses that were also ranked in this year’s CEI.

“For well over two decades, businesses have played an important role in furthering LGBTQ+ equality by centering employee needs and voices when it comes to workplace inclusion. While there is much more work to be done, year-over-year growth in CEI participation is evidence of a business community that recognizes the responsibility and value in upholding equity and inclusion,” said RaShawn “Shawnie” Hawkins, Human Rights Campaign Sr. Director of Workplace Equality.

Fox earned the highest number of points available in each of the following categories:

  • Spousal and Domestic Partner Benefits
  • Transgender-Inclusive Benefits
  • Transgender Workplace Best Practices
  • Outreach and Engagement to the LGBTQ+ Community
  • Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity in U.S. Nondiscrimination Policy
Colleen McGarry, chair of the firm’s LGBTQ+A Network, said, “We’re incredibly proud of the ongoing efforts of our firm to meet the evolving challenges facing the LGBTQ+ community. This score recognizes some of the progress we’ve made, including formalizing a gender transition policy to address the needs of transgender, gender non-binary and gender non-conforming employees.”

“Of course, our work continues, and the CEI provides a valuable roadmap and benchmarks to help us determine and facilitate strategies that ensure Fox remains a welcoming and inclusive workplace for all,” McGarry continued.
