Attorney General John M. Formella and Manchester Police Chief Allen Aldenberg announce that John DeLee was convicted by a Hillsborough County Superior Court jury of two counts of second-degree murder and one count of reckless conduct.
Mr. DeLee was found guilty of both knowingly and recklessly causing the death of Timothy Pouliot on January 29, 2023, outside of a downtown Manchester bar, under circumstances manifesting an extreme indifference to the value of human life by shooting Mr. Pouliot with a gun. The verdict was returned by the jury this morning after approximately one week of trial.“Today our thoughts are with Timothy Pouliot, his family, and all those who knew and loved him,” said Attorney General Formella. “I extend my sincere thanks to the trial team and our law enforcement partners, especially the Manchester Police Department, for their excellent work on this case.”Mr. DeLee will be sentenced at 1:30 p.m. on March 8, 2024, at the Hillsborough County Superior Court - Northern District in Manchester.
The defendant is held without bail pending sentencing.This case was prosecuted by Senior Assistant Attorney General Scott Chase and Assistant Attorney General Rachel Harrington with assistance from our law enforcement partners including the Manchester Police Department, the New Hampshire State Police Forensic Laboratory, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, as well as Victim/Witness Advocate Amy VanAuken.
