Randy Eckers, a finance partner in Reed Smith’s Financial Industry Group (FIG) was featured in the New York Real Estate Journal’s (NYREJ) first annual Commercial Real Estate Visionaries Spotlight. Eckers is among 55 individuals who were honored for “thinking outside the box and making an impact” for activities ranging from redefining local communities to implementing new ideas and revamping processes that contribute to the overall success, growth, or corporate culture at their firms or organizations.
Eckers has more than 23 years of experience representing a wide range of lending institutions, private equity funds, debt funds, banks, bond investors (including, GNMA and FNMA investors) and property owners in commercial real estate (CRE) financing, structured financing and secondary market transactions, including in the origination, purchase, sale and work-out of CMBS, portfolio, bridge (including, “bridge-to-agency”), syndicated, mezzanine, construction, single-family rental development and USDA loans, as well as preferred equity investments and credit facilities.
In his NYREJ profile, Eckers is referred to as an “innovator and market-leader in C-PACE”, which provides long-term, low-cost financing for energy efficiency improvements and renewable energy projects. In addition to his experience advising clients on C-PACE financing, Eckers was also selected for his team’s implementation of cutting-edge proprietary AI technology for CRE finance transactions that is revolutionizing how loan documents are drafted and edited, resulting in material time and cost efficiencies for clients.
This is the second significant industry accolade Eckers has received this year, having been named a rainmaker in CRE Debt, Equity, and Finance by Globe St. Real Estate Forum in March.
