Leni Cummins, a member of Cozen O’Connor’s Real Estate Practice and chair of the firm’s Condominium & Cooperative Practice, has been named a fellow of the American Bar Foundation. Cummins joins the prestigious international association of lawyers, judges, law professors, and legal professionals who have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to upholding the highest standards of the legal field throughout their careers. The status of a fellow is exclusively offered through invitation and is restricted to just 1% of practicing lawyers in each region. Fellowships are put forward by colleagues and approved by the board of directors of the American Bar Foundation.

Cummins has extensive experience representing both the sponsor-developers of condominiums and cooperatives, as well as condo, co-op, and community association boards. Her work on behalf of sponsor-developers deeply informs her work on behalf of boards — and vice versa. She routinely advises clients on plans for new construction and condominium conversions and has extensive experience negotiating issues pertaining to construction, development, and statutory compliance.

Cummins has been recognized by The New York Times Magazine as one of the “Top Women Attorneys” in the New York Metro Area, by Crain’s New York Business as a 2021 Notable Woman in Law, and by The National Law Journal as a Real Estate & Construction Trailblazer. Cummins’ honors also include being named a Women Leader in The Law by ALM Media and a 2020 "On the Rise-Top 40 Lawyer" by the American Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division. Cummins serves on the Cooperative & Condominium Law Committee of the New York City Bar. She also chairs several panel discussions organized by the New York City Bar Association each year, addressing current and pertinent topics regarding condominiums, cooperatives, and governance.
