Steve Rinehart, a partner in Troutman Pepper’s Business Litigation practice, was honored for his pro bono service to The Children’s Law Center (CLC) during the nonprofit’s 25th anniversary celebration on October 26. CLC works to give children strong and effective voices in legal proceedings that have a critical impact on their lives.

Rinehart is an active member of CLC’s Board of Directors, where he helps to ensure the organization is well-positioned to advocate for vulnerable children in the courtroom, their communities, and with the agencies who serve them. He served as Board President from 2014 to 2020, providing countless hours of guidance and support.

Founded in 1997 as a direct legal services agency, CLC provides zealous and effective representation to children in custody, visitation, domestic violence, guardianship, paternity, and related child protective cases. CLC is the primary organization in New York City assigned to represent children in custody and visitation matters, and the sole non-profit law firm focused on attorney for child services in this area of the law.

Each year, Troutman Pepper attorneys dedicate thousands of pro bono hours in support of nonprofits, immigrants, military veterans, children, the wrongfully convicted, civil rights and social justice initiatives, and so many more. Learn more at troutman.com/pro-bono.
