Fox Rothschild LLP congratulates Kathy S. Kimmel, who was selected to Minnesota Lawyer’s POWER 30: Business Litigation list.
The annual list highlights those whose “mere presence on a case signifies the stakes, who have influenced the direction of the law, whose leadership in the community is pervasive and whose respect within the bar is undeniable.”
Kimmel, partner in the firm’s Litigation Department, is noted for her ability to help her clients advance their goals through legal strategy. “Some lawyers think you should fight for the sake of fighting. That’s rarely in a client’s long-term interest,” she said. “The lawyer provides experience and judgment while retaining rapport and reputation within the profession.”
For many years, Kimmel has engaged in pro bono work through the Tubman Center, a shelter for those struggling with relationship violence, substance abuse, mental health and other forms of trauma. She advocates pro bono representation as an invaluable experience for all lawyers that helps them learn how to incorporate perspective and judgment into their cases as they interact with other lawyers and judges.
Noted in the 2023 Chambers USA guide for Minnesota Litigation: General Commercial, Kimmel helps clients protect and preserve their interests in complex commercial, business, health care, fiduciary and trust and estate controversies.
