Troutman Pepper was recently recognized at the Annual National HBCU Pre-Law Summit & Law Expo with a HBCU Outreach and Empowerment Supporter Award. The firm was honored for its continued support as a sponsor of the organization’s annual summit.

We are deeply honored to receive the HBCU Outreach and Empowerment Supporter Award,” said Erin Cannon, Troutman Pepper’s Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. “This recognition underscores our firm’s commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion within the legal profession. We believe in the power and potential of HBCU students and graduates, and we are privileged to support their journey into the field of law. As we celebrate the tenth anniversary of the HBCU Pre-Law Summit, we remain committed to empowering these future legal professionals and contributing to the diversity of our industry.”

HBCU Pre-Law was created to serve as the ultimate online resource for students who currently attend or have graduated from historically Black colleges and universities. This year marks the tenth anniversary celebrating a decade of impact for this vitally important summit. It serves as the only major national pre-law event of its kind in the entire country focused specifically on encouraging and empowering students and alumni of Historically Black Colleges and Universities interested in pursuing the rigorous and demanding path of going to law school and becoming lawyers.

Troutman Pepper and fellow honorees were recognized at the HBCU Pre-Law Honors: 10th Anniversary Awards Ceremony on September 23.
