Fox Rothschild LLP congratulates John T. Rose, who was named to the 2023 class of 40 Under 40 honorees by Georgia Trend magazine.
The annual list features the “best and brightest” professionals under the age of 40 in Georgia who are at the top of their field professionally and provide “service to others outside of work.”
Rose, an associate in the Entertainment & Sports Law Department, is cited as “a versatile attorney representing some of the biggest names in entertainment” who “uses his acumen and experience to make a difference in both the legal profession and Georgia as a whole.”
Rose represents a variety of high-profile clients, including award-winning creatives, multiplatinum recording artists and producers and celebrity entertainers, and provides counseling on various topics related to business disputes, litigation prevention and crisis management as well as non-litigation matters. Notably, he recently worked with rap icon Rick Ross, under the direction and guidance of his partner Leron Rogers, to secure “not only the dismissal of a defamation lawsuit, but victory in the 2nd Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals for use of a sample on a mixtape – a decision that set new legal precedent regarding sampling in the music industry.”
Outside of the office, Rose is co-founder of a nonprofit organization, S.A.D.E.’s Hope, Inc., which serves teenage and millennial victims of domestic violence, and of a “record label” for photographers, called Collective Gallery, which invests in photographers’ dreams just as other labels do for musicians and other artists.
Rose earned his J.D. from Emory University School of Law, his Certificate in Business Analytics from Harvard Business School and his B.A., cum laude, from Hampton University.
