Quinn Emanuel Associates David LeRay and Nic Siebert, both based in our New York office, share their experiences working on major antitrust cases against several big banks with Law.com and discuss their contributions to the firm's victory, which involved representing approximately 13,000 issuers of variable rate demand obligations who claimed that major banks conspired to inflate interest rates in the market.

LeRay and Siebert have contributed to many of the firm's successful antitrust lawsuits, with both Associates part of the award-winning team last month that struck a nearly half-billion deal with multiple banks accused of conspiring to prop up fees in the stock lending market. However, this victory, in particular, presented LeRay and Siebert with a unique opportunity to argue a significant portion of the oral argument for the plaintiffs, following U.S. District Judge Jesse Furman's encouragement for junior lawyers to take on stand-up roles in the proceedings. Read the article to discover how they prepared for the argument and their experience with the case.
