As the automotive industry revs back up to pre-pandemic levels, Fox Rothschild LLP is pleased to welcome New Jersey-based automotive boutique Aboyoun Dobbs LLC to the firm.

Joining the firm in Morristown are:

  • Joseph S. Aboyoun, Partner
  • Seth L. Dobbs, Partner
  • Allan L. Markus, Counsel
  • Timothy J. Broking, Counsel
  • Will Salerno, Counsel
"Aboyoun Dobbs has been the go-to firm for automobile dealerships in the tri-state area since its founding in 1989,” said Chair of the Firm Mark L. Morris. “Their reputation has grown and expanded beyond the region, and we are thrilled to welcome Joe, Seth and their team to the firm. We have collaborated with Aboyoun Dobbs through referrals in the past, but together we will be able to provide clients with a true one-stop shop for their legal needs. That includes transactions and franchise issues, employment disputes, compliance matters, business succession planning, trust and estate administration, ESG and data security concerns.”

Aboyoun Dobbs represents automobile and truck dealers in mergers and acquisitions, limited liability formations, business and franchise disputes and resolution, compliance, environmental, estate and succession planning matters. The team works with clients to strategize on business structures and craft and review agreements as well as partnership and equity ownership documents. They frequently advise on operational funding strategies, represent dealers in matters involving state licensing and federal regulations, respond to government and manufacturer inquiries and analyze areas of exposure to liability.

As the automotive industry touches many areas of the law, Fox’s nationwide practice offers support with issues related to taxation, labor and employment, environmental matters, intellectual property, litigation, estate planning and real estate.

“Our clients have always viewed us as ‘internists’ who can effectively anticipate their business needs and develop innovative and customized legal solutions. Now, as part of a national law firm, we can offer a comprehensive breadth of legal services to them through multi-practice client service teams. This move enables us to truly handle the full suite of legal needs of our clients, from start to finish and in a way that will set the company and the owners up for long-term success,” said Aboyoun.

“As the automotive sector experiences expansion in both scope and complexity, merging with a prominent national law firm was imperative to guarantee our clients receive the full spectrum representation required by today’s automotive landscape. With the dissolving of state and regional boundaries within the automotive industry, it is important our clients have coast-to-coast representation, without limitations to the simplicity or complexity of matters that can be handled. The vast resources this merger brings to our practice makes certain that our clients will continue to receive the personalized attention and prompt responsiveness that has consistently been the hallmark of Aboyoun Dobbs, yet now on a national scale," remarked Dobbs.
