ORLANDO, Fla. (Legal Newsline) — An Orlando, Fla., gentlemen's club is facing a wrongful death lawsuit after allegedly serving alcohol to an underage dancer who died from alcohol poisoning.

Athena M. Bonfa, individually and as personal representative of the Estate of Stevie Bonfa, filed a complaint June 29 in Orange County Circuit Court against Fox Hole Inc., doing business as Dancer's Royale, and Wilan Corporation, doing business as Stars World Class Men's Club.

According to the plaintiffs' complaint, the decedent Bonfa was employed as a dancer at Stars in Orlando. They allege Bonfa, who was 20 years old at the time, was working at Stars on July 3, 2021, and was illegally served alcoholic beverages.

They claim Bonfa became intoxicated and died from too much ethanol in her body. The plaintiffs claim the bartenders, servers, management and staff of Stars knowingly and illegally served Bonfa alcohol. They further claim they have suffered mental pain and suffering, loss of support services of Bonfa and other damages.

The plaintiffs seek monetary relief of more than $1 million, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. They are represented by W. Hale Kelly of The Kelly Law Firm PA in Orlando and Mario Romero of Glonis, Lilly & Romero PLLC in Kissimmee.
