Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP received a 2023 Lawyers of Color Industry Leader Diversity Award. Lawyers of Color is a nonprofit devoted to promoting diversity in the legal profession and advancing democracy and equality in marginalized communities.
The organization says it considers three criteria for its Diversity Awards: firms must have at least one staff member with the word “equity,” “diversity,” or “inclusion” in their title; they must have at least one attorney of color who is a managing partner, executive/management committee member, or practice group head; furthermore, at least four percent of their attorneys must be Black. Law firms that satisfy all three receive the Industry Leader Diversity Award.

We are proud of what we do and hope to inspire others to ever greater levels of inclusion and equity in workplaces that genuinely value belonging,” Litigation Shareholder and Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer Nikki Lewis Simon said.
The award was presented May 18 at a ceremony in Washington, D.C.
