Fox Rothschild LLP is pleased to welcome Beth Trahos to the Raleigh office as a partner in the Real Estate Department.

"Beth’s credibility and effectiveness among the many public and private stakeholders in North Carolina’s flourishing development sector is widely recognized, and we are fortunate to welcome her to our growing land use and zoning team,” said Brad Risinger, Managing Partner of the firm’s Raleigh office. “Our clients, and their communities, will benefit from her natural ability to build consensus among government agencies, developers and owners.”

Trahos focuses her practice on commercial real estate development, land use and government regulation and represents developers, builders, property owners and local governments. She frequently appears before city councils, planning commissions and boards of adjustment representing clients seeking or opposing rezonings, special and conditional use permits, subdivisions, annexations, variances, text amendments, and code interpretations in North Carolina and Virginia.

She has assisted in the land use permitting of over 200 utility-scale solar farms representing more than a gigawatt of new energy production in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.

Trahos earned her J.D. from the University of Richmond, T.C. Williams School of Law, her MURP from Virginia Commonwealth University and her B.A. from the University of Richmond.

Prior to joining Fox, Trahos was a partner at Nelson Mullins. She was also a former partner of Smith Moore Leatherwood LLP before its combination with Fox Rothschild.
