Ashley L. Taylor, Jr., co-leader of Troutman Pepper’s nationally ranked State Attorneys General Practice, was recently named to Virginia Lawyers Weekly’s “Go To Lawyers” for business litigation. Now in its fourth year, the program recognizes leading lawyers in a particular field of law.

Those recognized as “Go To Lawyers” are regarded as experts in their field and well-versed in the nuances of related case law, statutes, and regulations. Honorees also have a demonstrated record of success, receive regular referrals, and think creatively.

Taylor, who also serves as vice chair of the firm and is a partner in its Regulatory Investigations, Strategy + Enforcement (RISE) Practice Group, is a nationally recognized and sought-after strategist and problem solver for clients facing bet-the-company government investigations, enforcement actions, and litigation. Drawing from his experience with industry-shaping, multistate investigations and litigation, he provides clear-cut advice for his clients’ toughest challenges.

Troutman Pepper’s state AG practice is part of the firm’s greater Regulatory Investigations, Strategy + Enforcement (RISE) Practice Group, which counsels clients in a wide range of legal and public policy matters. For businesses in heavily regulated industries, such as financial services, advertising and marketing, health care, insurance, telecommunications, alcohol, tobacco, and cannabis, the team offers guidance on compliance and reporting as well as, when necessary, litigation and administrative appeals of regulatory enforcement actions. The team also partners with businesses and industry groups to work proactively on legislative strategy, state attorneys general interactions, and the regulatory rulemaking process.

Those recognized as “Go To Lawyers” will be profiled in a special section to the Virginia Lawyers Weekly in April.
