Chris Haley, co-founder and managing director of technology at Troutman Pepper eMerge, has been recognized as a 2023 AI Visionary by Relativity, a leading legal and compliance software provider. AI Visionaries is an annual list of early adopters in legal, compliance, and risk who are playing a seminal role in advancing the use of AI within their industries.
Haley is among 19 leaders selected for the AI Visionaries list, which recognizes and celebrates early adopters of AI, particularly in areas where managing risk is a top priority and the approach to technology adoption has traditionally been more conservative. According to Relativity, this year’s honorees “embody the trailblazing spirit, tenacity, and creativity required to advance a technology that is becoming increasingly commonplace.”
“It’s an honor to be recognized among my industry peers on Relativity’s annual AI Visionaries list,” Haley said. “Leveraging AI can free us up to use our big human brains – which computers don’t have, now or in the future – to solve even bigger problems and challenges. It helps prevent the fatigue that results from these repetitive tasks in our work environment and deliver results faster.”
As the managing director of technology, Haley serves as an essential translator between the technical world and the legal world – delving into technical details and translating them into pragmatic options for legal teams. He is an important advocate of leveraging technology to improve legal services, increase efficiency, and reduce costs. He regularly evaluates new technologies that may assist clients, ensures his team of technologists maintains the skills necessary to handle the ever-evolving landscape of eDiscovery, and designs and implements custom technical solutions to meet clients’ needs.
