ORLANDO, Fla. (Legal Newsline) - A new lawsuit blames Walt Disney Parks and Resorts because one of its customers recklessly drove an electric scooter.
Jamie Pineda sued Disney March 31 in Orange County Circuit Court, claiming she was bashed into in December while at EPCOT Theme Park.
"Plaintiff while waiting in an anteroom to enter an attraction was struck from behind by a patron riding an electric scooter or another type of electric vehicle Disney allowed to be within Disney's EPCOT amusement park," the suit says.
"Disney failed to prevent the electric scooter... from being close to an in the proximity of Plaintiff and other patrons."
Pineda said she was hospitalized, lost the ability to lead a normal life and lost the ability to earn money. She is represented by Lowell Karr of VG Law Group.
