LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Legal Newsline) - A recent lawsuit blames hotel staff for turning a blind eye to someone "lingering" in its parking lot who later robbed a pregnant food-delivery driver by pressing a gun into her abdomen.

Ashley Glass sued KNB Hospitality in Arkansas' Pulaski County Circuit Court on March 22 over an incident that took place about a year earlier at the Springhill Suites in Little Rock. She says Bilal Al-Amin jumped the fence from the adjacent Quality Inn and began trying to break into vehicles at the Springhill Suites.

A Springhill employee locked the lobby door after guests reported Al-Amin's behavior, the suit says. Glass said she drove into the parking lot around this time.

"When Plaintiff exited her car, Mr. Al-Amin approached her," the suit says. "Mr. Al-Amin demanded that Plaintiff give her keys to him. Mr. Al-Amin then pressed a gun to Plaintiff's abdomen and threatened to kill her."

Glass, who was eight-and-a-half months pregnant at the time, gave him the keys. Her vehicle was found totaled, with many of her belongings stolen.

"Plaintiff has learned that hotel employees did not alert authorities that Mr. Al-Amin was lingering in the parking lot or attempting to break into vehicles on the premises," the suit says.

Glass is represented by Andrew and Tasha Taylor of Taylor & Taylor Law Firm in Little Rock. Al-Amin is currently incarcerated.
