BOSTON (Legal Newsline) - A lawsuit blames Massachusetts General Hospital for not diagnosing a man's malignant tumor in time to save his life.

Kathleen Taylor, the personal representative of the Estate of Gregory Taylor, sued the hospital and Dr. Ziv Williams on March 11 in Suffolk County Superior Court. Taylor's tumor went undiagnosed for two years, the wrongful death case says.

Taylor died in 2020 at the age of 55. His treatment from 2018-2020 was a "missed opportunity for earlier diagnosis and treatment," the suit says.

The lawsuit does not specify where the cancer was located but alleges Williams allowed "the tumor to grow and spread, causing (Taylor's) premature and preventable death.

Florence Carey of Crowe and Mulvey in Boston is representing the plaintiff.
