NEW YORK (Legal Newsline) - Riding a Peloton bike can be hazardous to your health, a new lawsuit alleges.

Valentina Hadland filed suit Jan. 20 in New York County Supreme Court against Peloton Interactive, alleging the clips on the exercise bike's pedals were defective. The suit says she broke both of her ankles as a result of a ride on Feb. 24, 2019.

The suit doesn't specify how it happened, only alleging the pedals, pedal clips, shoes and toe clips were defectively designed, manufactured, assembled and adjusted by the company. She was trying to unclip from the pedals when she sustained fractures to both ankles, the suit says.

Thomas Keane of Chappaqua is Hadland's lawyer.
