BROOKLYN, N.Y. (Legal Newsline) - Peter Carbone filed a federal class action lawsuit on Dec. 6 in the Eastern District Court of New York against Thriving Brands LLC and Henkel Corporation over their Right Guard deodorant.
The lawsuit is one of many to allege in various deodorants the presence of benzene, a human carcinogen known to cause cancer and other serious medical conditions. Plaintiff claims that in not including benzene in the ingredient list, the company is misrepresenting its products through omission.
Plaintiff further claims that customers would not buy the product had they known that it contained benzene.
