NEW YORK (Legal Newsline) -- A woman claims to have been burnt by an unknown hot liquid that caused injury.

Shelia Howard filed a complaint on May 17 in New York County Supreme Court against A N Nails CLZ, Inc. for negligence.

According to the complaint, Howard was in A N Nails CLZ, Inc. on May 2, 2019, getting services to her feet. Howard alleges she was burnt by "a hot liquid sprayed, applied, and/or otherwise caused to be put on her feet and lower legs." Howard suffered serious and permanent bodily injuries and mental anguish because of the incident, the suit says.

Howard alleges that it is the nail salon that was negligent in applying the liquid to her and the incident could have been prevented.

Howard is represented by Steven M. Davis of Alert Buzzetti and Associates, LLC.
