ANN ARBOR, Mich. (Legal Newsline) — DraftKings digital sports entertaining and gaming is facing a class action lawsuit alleging it gives incorrect odds and fails to payout winnings.

Ryan Cristman, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, filed a complaint May 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan against DraftKings Inc., alleging breach of contract.

According to the class action complaint, Cristman opened a DraftKings Sportsbook account in February of 2021. He claims he placed a $915.89 "puck line bet" in the Sportsbook on a Boston Bruins and New York Rangers hockey game on Feb. 10, with the Bruins being given "+3 goals in regular time odds of +510."

Cristman further claims he stood to win $5,586.93 and confirmed with DraftKings twice to verify the correct odds and that he won the bet as the game ended in regular time with a 2-2 score. He alleges despite his win, the defendants marked his bet as a loss, did not respond to his messages and locked his account so he could not access his funds. Cristman also alleges DraftKings is in breach of contract for incorrectly marking winning wages and failing to pay winnings.
