Rejuvenate cleaners are not so safe for kids and pets, lawsuit says

EPA label vs. Rejuvenate's

SAN FRANCISCO (Legal Newsline) – Cleaners made by For Life Products are not safe for pets and kids, as the company claims, a new class action lawsuit says.

Attorneys at the Clarkson Law Firm filed their case Feb. 16 in California federal court under the state’s Unfair Competition Law, False Advertising Law and Consumer Legal Remedies Act. For Life manufactures cleaner under the Rejuvenate brand.

As the suit notes, a green label with a family claims the products are “safe for pets & kids.” It also goes to the dictionary to define safe as “free from harm or risk” and “unhurt” and claims the label is designed to resemble others that are more official, like the Environmental Protection Agency’s.

The suit claims there are at least eight harmful ingredients like sodium sulfate and dipropylene glycol methyl ether.

“Defendant knew, or should have known, that the Challenged Representations were false, misleading, deceptive, and unlawful, at the time that it advertised the Products the Products using the Challenged Representations, and Defendant intentionally and deliberately used the Challenged Representations on the Products’ labeling, packaging, and advertising to cause Plaintiff and similarly situated consumers to buy the Products,” the suit says.
