LOS ANGELES (Legal Newsline) – A long-running deal at Domino’s Pizza has been too good to be true all this time, a class action lawsuit alleges.
The suit, filed Nov. 24 in Los Angeles federal court, takes aim at the coupon that charges customers $5.99 for a combination of items off of a set menu, like medium two-topping pizzas. Plaintiff Jeff Smorowski and lawyers at Righetti Glugoski and Nathan & Associates say he’s been charged much more than $6 per item.
Domino’s charges tax on the items, the lawsuit complains.
“Consumers have the expectation that reputable businesses such as Domino’s will conform to any representations, warranties or statements made in connection with the Mix & Match deal,” the lawsuit says.
“Contrary to Domino’s representations regarding the price of the products, consumers paid money than what was stated on Domino’s advertisements under the Mix & Match deal.”
