LANSING, Mich. (Legal Newsline) – Michigan’s attorney general says a liquor retailer is skirting state law.
AG Dana Nessel sued Vintner’s Collective in Michigan federal court on Oct. 6, alleging violation of the Michigan Consumer Protection Act by selling to state residents without proper licensure by the Michigan Liquor Control Commission.
Vintner’s has ignored a cease-and-desist letter from her office, Nessel alleges.
“Vintner’s Collective continues to violate the alcohol sale and shipping laws imposed by the Michigan Liquor Control Code and, in doing so, threatens the health, safety and welfare of Michigan citizens,” the suit says.
