SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Legal Newsline) – Walmart faces a class action lawsuit over whether the “lifetime” tire balance and rotation service was misleading, given that the company closed all of its auto care centers.
Attorneys at Yoon Law in Los Angeles filed the case Sept. 23 in Sacramento federal court on behalf of client Kevin Johnson.
The suit notes Walmart closed its more than 2,500 auto care centers in March.
“Defendant’s failure to perform under the terms of the purchased policy, and its false representations, marketing and advertising to that effect, constitute violations of state law,” the suit says.
The case seeks to certify two classes – one nationwide and one of California residents.
