LOS ANGELES (Legal Newsline) – Lawyers say testing of Taste of the Wild Dog Food shows it is not “grain free,” as it claims to be.
Greg Coleman Law PC in Los Angeles on Sept. 18 filed a class action lawsuit against Diamond Pet Foods in Los Angeles federal court. Consumers like plaintiff Mark Spivey pay a premium for grain free food to avoid allergic reactions in their dogs, the suit says.
“However, independent testing of Taste of the Wild Dog Food confirms these representations are false,” the suit says. “Taste of the Wild Dog Food contains significant amounts of grain.”
Plaintiffs attorneys included their testing results as an exhibit to the lawsuit. They hired an expert for the testing last summer and say there is a “significant amount” of grain.
