Class action complains Walgreens charges more than price listed

Federal Court
Walgreens

PORTLAND, Ore. (Legal Newsline) – Walgreens ripped me off, says a new class action from an unhappy buyer of lemonade mix.

Tim Carr filed his lawsuit Aug. 11 in Portland, Ore., federal court against Walgreen Co. after he says he was charged $1.80 for something that was marked as costing $1.

“When plaintiff learned that Walgreen had overcharged him he complained but Walgreen refused to refund the overcharge,” the lawsuit says. “When plaintiff complained to Walgreen management, plaintiff was told that Walgreen has collected the overcharge from literally thousands of other customers.”

Carr wants to represent a class of “every customer ripped off by Walgreen’s intentional overcharging scheme.” His lawyer is Michael Fuller of OlsenDaines in Portland.

Carr will only seek damages if Walgreens fails to cure the problem, the lawsuit says.
