SAN DIEGO (Legal Newsline) – A SeaWorld customer has filed a class action lawsuit over the company’s decision to keep charging her monthly membership fees during the coronavirus pandemic.

Lisa Kouball filed her lawsuit May 8 in San Diego federal court through attorneys at the Law Offices of Ronald A. Marron.

The monthly fees range from $10 to $17.75 and have persisted even though SeaWorld closed all of its parks in March.

“Thus, Defendant has made the deliberate decision to bilk its customers out of a monthly membership fee while its members do not have access to Defendant’s amusement parks and water parks,” the lawsuit says.

The lawsuit alleges violation of the California Consumer Legal Remedies Act. Kouball has four monthly passes for a total of $49 per month.
