WILMINGTON, Del. (Legal Newsline) — VoxTonePro, the creators of an online, inexpensive, self-service application for creating voiceover advertisements is claiming Spotify stole its trade secrets to create Spotify Ad Studio.
Mujae Group Inc., doing business as VoxTonePRO, filed a complaint April 30 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware against Spotify USA. Inc., Spotify LTD, Spotify AB and Spotify Technology SA., alleging violation of the Trade Secrets Act and other claims.
VoxTonePro alleges that it first reached out to Spotify in January of 2015 to partner with it regarding VoxTonePro's audio ad generator technology that allows ads that include voiceovers to be produced for as little as $13.99. They allege Spotify gained its trade secrets through extensive demonstrations and access to its website platform and used the information to create Spotify Ad Studio.
VoxTonePro seeks monetary and injunctive relief, interest and all other just relief.
