LOS ANGELES (Legal Newsline) – A Los Angeles County couple are suing Princess Cruises alleging they became ill from food products they purchased on one of its ships.
Judy Edwards and Armour Edwards filed a complaint Jan. 14 in the U.S District Court for the Central District of California against Princess Cruise Lines LTD, doing business as Princess Cruises, and others alleging premises liability, breach of express warranty, breach of implied warranty, fraud and negligence.
The Edwards allege that between Jan. 5, and Jan. 20, 2018, they purchased food products on the Coral Princess cruise ship originating from Long Beach Harbour in Los Angeles. They claim they first became ill on Jan. 16, 2019, from exposure to "viruses and disease carrying pestilence and contaminated food" that was manufactured, labeled, packaged and distributed by Princess Cruises.
The Edwards seek general and special damages, a trial by jury, interest and all other just relief. They are represented by Sean Novak of The Novak Law Firm PC in Beverly Hills, California.
