Lawsuit alleges Crystal Light Liquid is falsely labeled as containing no artificial flavors

LOS ANGELES (Legal Newsline) – Kraft Heinz is facing suit over allegations its Crystal Light Liquid products are fraudulently labeled as containing no artificial flavors.

Narguess Noohi, individually and on behalf of other members of the general public similarly situated, filed a complaint Dec. 17 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against The Kraft Heinz Co. alleging violation of California's False Advertising Act, Unfair Business Practices Act, common law fraud and unjust enrichment.

Noohi alleges in his suit that the defendant's line of Crystal Light Liquid contains synthetic malic acid, a food additive with a tart and sour flavor despite the product's label claiming it contains no artificial flavors. Noohi claims in his suit that the products "are at least partially artificial" and that the defendants "intentionally advertise and label the products as containing no artificial flavors."

Noohi seeks damages, a trial by jury, interest and all other just relief. He is represented by Todd Friedman and Meghan George of The Law Offices of Todd M. Friedman PC in Woodland Hills, California.
