White Guys facing $236K arbitration penalty

AUSTIN, Texas (Legal Newsline) – A Michigan man has filed a motion to confirm an arbitration award against two Texas limited liability companies and a Washington man relating to an alleged production of a film based on the book "Why Should White Guys Have All the Fun?" by Reginald F. Lewis and Blair S. Walker.

Donald Snider filed a motion to confirm arbitration award in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas against Why Should White Guys Have All the Fun LP, White Guys LLC and Jesse Wineberry Sr. 

The motion states that Snider and Wineberry were both limited partners in Why Should White Guys Have All the Fun LP. The motion states on Jan. 24 the parties participated in an arbitration final evidentiary hearing before an arbitrator and on March 22, the arbitrator issued an award against the defendants to pay the balance of $229,625.74 to Snider and an order for Wineberry to pay Snider $100,000 in exemplary damages as well as actual damages

The plaintiff is represented by William W. Russell of Reed Smith LLP in Houston.
