Chicago law firm claims Bissell Inc. owes more than $200,000 for services

CHICAGO (Legal Newsline) – A Chicago law firm claims that two Michigan companies failed to pay for its legal services.

Law Offices of Alan J. Martin filed a complaint on Jan. 21 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois against Bissell Inc. and Bissell Homecare Inc. alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff provided legal services to the defendants and it submitted invoices to them.

"Years have passed and Bissell has not paid the invoice or any portion of it," the suit states.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary damages in the amount of $201,168; consequential damages; interest; and any further relief the court grants. They are represented by Alan J. Martin of Law Offices of Alan J. Martin LLC in Chicago.
