NEW YORK (Legal Newsline) – A New York consumer alleges a line of hair care products falsely represents that it can repair damaged hair.

Ashlei McBride filed a complaint on behalf of herself and all others similarly situated on Oct. 4 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York against Vogue International LLC alleging violation of the New York Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that the defendant represents to consumers that its Proganix Repair hair products can repair damaged hair. She alleges this claim is false and deceptive.

The plaintiff holds Vogue International LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly issued false statements about the products' repair capabilities and caused consumers to pay premium price for the product.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks to maintain the case as a class action, declaratory relief, attorneys’ fees, interest, costs and other relief as the court may deem just and proper. She is represented by C.K. Lee and Anne Seelig of Lee Litigation Group PLLC in New York.
