Now Health Group sued over liver detoxifier

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (Legal Newsline) — A Brooklyn consumer has filed a class action lawsuit against a health products company, alleging negligent misrepresentation.

Yee Ting Lau filed a complaint, individually and on behalf of others similarly situated July 5 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York against Now Health Group, Inc., alleging false representation regarding its liver detoxifier product.

According to the complaint, Lau was damaged from being misled into buying a product that was advertised as being able to rejuvenate the liver. The plaintiff alleges Now Health Group says its product could rejuvenate the liver in order to mislead consumers.

Lau seeks trial by jury, restitution and disgorgement, to enjoin the defendant, pre- and post-judgment interest, attorney fees and all the court deems just and proper. She is represented by attorneys C.K. Lee and Anne Seelig of Lee Litigation Group, PLLC in New York.
