BALTIMORE (Legal Newsline) — A law firm is suing Michael E. Criden P.A. d/b/a Criden & Love P.A., a Florida corporation, alleging breach of contract.
Joseph Saveri Law Firm Inc. and Joseph R. Saveri, based in California, filed a complaint on June 12 in U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland against the defendants alleging that the defendant law firm wrongfully attempted to claim a referral fee from the plaintiffs.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they suffered damages from the defendants' demanding a fee from them. The plaintiffs hold the defendants responsible because the firm allegedly claims that the plaintiff is obligated to pay them a referral fee.
The plaintiffs seek to deny arbitration with the defendants and the declaration that the plaintiffs are not obligated to pay any referral fees to the defendants, as well as injunctive relief, all legal fees and other relief as the court deems appropriate. They are represented by James P. Ulwick of Kramon & Graham PC in Baltimore.
