Orrick firm alleges client owes $1.5 million

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Legal Newsline) — A California law partnership is suing a Florida client, alleging breach of contract.

Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, LLP filed a complaint June 2 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California against EngagePoint, Inc. of Fort Lauderdale, alleging failure to pay legal bills of more than $1.5 million.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is financially damaged from not being paid because EngagePoint has failed and refuseds to pay legal fees.

Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe seeks the amount of $1,544,883.68. It is represented by attorneys J.R. Riddell and Eric R. Olah of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe in Sacramento.
