Oklahoma law firms allege other lawyers breached agreement

TULSA, Okla. (Legal Newsline) — A group of Oklahoma law firms is suing other lawyers, alleging breach of contract.

Caruso Law Firm; Smolen, Smolen & Roytman; and Law Office of Dale Lipsmeyer filed a complaint May 26 in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma against Mattingly & Roselius; Kessler, Topaz, Meltzer & Cheek; Gordon, Caruth & Virden PLC; and Danielson Law Firm, alleging that they failed to honor their agreement with the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs suffered financial damages form having their agreement breached by the defendants, who refused to honor the arbitration awarded by the court.

The plaintiffs seek damages, interest, court costs and all other relief the court deems just. They are represented by attorneys Daniel E. Smolen of Smolen, Smolen & Roytman in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and by Dennis Caruso of Caruso Law Firm PC, also in Tulsa.
