MIAMI (Legal Newsline) — A Florida woman has filed a class action lawsuit against a beauty care products business, alleging negligent misrepresentation.
Millie Land of Mineola, Florida, filed a complaint, individually and on behalf of others similarly situated and the general public, May 25 in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Universal Handicraft, Inc., doing business as "Deep Sea Cosmetics" doing business as "Adore Organic Innovations," and Shay Sabag Segev, alleging false claims regarding their skin care products.
According to the complaint, Land suffered damages from being misled into purchasing a falsely advertised skin care product that the defendants falsely alleged could halt the aging process.
Land seeks trial by jury, certifying this case as a class action. damages, restitution and disgorgement, injunctive relief, punitive damages, order the defendant to engage in a corrective advertising campaign, all legal fees, and all other relief the court deems just.
